record-holder,
the

debut

"It
went
beyond
being
a
girls'
night
out
movie
and
became
a
date
night
movie," said
Paul
Dergarabedian,
senior
box
office
analyst
at
Rentrak.
After
a
decade,
a
movie
which
has
a
nice
blend
of
romance
and
bondage
has
come
up
on
the
big
screen
which
gathered
a
lot
of
attention.
"Fifty
Shades
of
Grey's" opening
weekend
audience
was
68%
female,
52%
Caucasian,
22%
Hispanic
and
15%
African-American.
The
picture
played
well
on
premium
large
format
screens,
which
drew
$7.4
million,
as
well
as
on
Imax,
which
contributed
$2.1
million.
Fifty
Shades
of
Grey
has
not
released
in
many
parts
of
the
world
yet.

will
