Balaramana Dinagalu Story
Balaramana Dinagalu is an upcoming Kannada gangster underworld film set in Bengaluru during 1985, written and directed by K. M. Chaitanya. The movie stars Vinod Prabhakar and Priya Anand in the lead roles, alongside Ashish Vidyarthi, Atul Kulkarni, Ramesh Indira, Vinay Gowda, and several other notable actors in supporting roles. The film’s music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with cinematography handled by H. C. Venugopal and editing by P. Haridoss. It is produced by Padmavathi Jayaram and Shreyas under the Padmavathi Films banner.
Story
The story revolves entirely around Balaram, also known as Bala, and is inspired by a real-life incident that took place during the 1980s. Director K. M. Chaitanya brings this gripping tale to the screen, chronicling Bala's unexpected transformation from an ordinary young man into a feared gangster.
Balaram arrives in Bengaluru from Hassan with dreams of securing a government job and building a respectable life. However, his plans are turned upside down when, on the very first day of his arrival, he kills a local rowdy under unforeseen circumstances. After being arrested and sent to prison, Bala is released on bail and eventually joins the gang led by a powerful gangster (Jayaram).
From that point on, Bala's life takes a dramatic turn as he becomes deeply involved in Bengaluru's criminal underworld. The film follows his rise through the ranks of the gangster world and explores the events that ultimately bring his turbulent journey to an end.
Release Date
Balaramana Dinagalu movie was released in theaters on 26 June 2026.
