Breaking News Movie story focuses on television channels in "Breaking News" and shows how they go overboard in their bid to do breaking stories.

Arjun (Ajai Rao) works as a programme executive for Sakala TV, but loses his job as he fails to exclusive stories. Meanwhile, Lokayukta in the state prepares a report on the involvement of a minister in denotifying land around Bengaluru.

Arjun tries a lot to interview the Lokayukta, but he is misguided by Lokayukta's daughter, Shradha (Radhika Pandit), and is thrown out of the Lokayukta's house and even loses his job.

He gets involved in the kidnapping of Shradha daughter of Lokayukta, and uses her to make sensational news.
