Vinod Prabhakar’s action drama Maadeva hit theatres on June 6, 2025, and received an overwhelming response, with houseful shows across Karnataka. The film enjoyed a remarkable 50-day run, cementing its status as one of the biggest Kannada blockbusters of the year.

Initially, the digital rights were acquired by CineBazzar, and the movie premiered on the platform on September 12, 2025. However, reports reveal that the makers had requested CineBazzar not to release it, as they were negotiating a bigger deal with Amazon. Despite this, CineBazzar streamed a low-print version before Maadeva ultimately bagged a lucrative deal with Amazon Prime Video, where it officially began streaming in high quality from September 26, 2025.
