Ambareesha Rakes 3 Crores On Day 1!

Darshan's latest movie Ambareesha got released to a massive response on Thursday, Nov 20. The movie being highly anticipated by the fans, was released in more than 250 theatres all over Karnataka. This is one of the biggest opening for any Kannada movie and the impact was clear with the theatres running houseful everywhere.

The movie managed to collect 3 Crores on Day 1 in the Box Office. For a Kannada movie, this number is massive. While many movies take weeks together to cross the 10 crore mark, Ambareesha seems to be a Juggernaut that will cross the mark by the weekend. Many theatres have been running 6 show of the movie, which again helped to collect more revenue.

One of the most important factor for such huge collection is the houseful screening of the movie even in Multiplex such as PVR in Bangalore and Mysore. As of now, almost all single screen theatres are claiming to be booked houseful for the weekend. With no tickets available in the single screen, the viewers are expected to make a beeline to the multiplexes, which will add to the weekend box office collection.

Movie did not get a favorable review most of the critics in spite of good acting by the main star cast. Darshan, Ambareesh and Priyamani have been praised for their good work, but the director seems to have lost control over the screenplay. With 3 crores on the opening day, it is to be seen if the movie continues the great performance for the weekend.
