After the box office success of KGF and KGF 2, Yash cemented himself as one of the most followed actors in Indian cinema.
From his swag to charisma, the 38-year-old Kannada superstar, currently enjoys a massive fandom across the nation. However, did you know Yash ran away from his home with just Rs 300 in his pocket to become an actor?
According to an earlier report published by Bollywood Shaadis, Yash had once revealed in an interview that he'd left his house at an young age and came to Bengaluru to become an actor with just Rs 300 in his pocket. Apparently, his parents were against his decision of becoming an actor, which is why he ran away from home.
It wasn't a smooth ride for him. Soon after coming to the new city, 16-year-old Yash started working as an assistant director. However, the film got shelved after two days. Then he joined the Benaka Drama Troupe and started doing theatre. During his initial days, he would work in the back stage, from serving tea to everyone to doing the back0stage work.
Recalling his struggling days, Yash was quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, "They thought I'd come back. I began doing theatre. Someone luckily took me to do theatre. I knew nothing about it. I began making money backstage. Chai se lekar poora sab kuch (from bringing tea to everything). Initially, I also assisted a director to enter the Kannada film industry. While I did theatre, I travelled a lot. My first appearance on stage was noticed."
The rest is History. Now, the actor reportedly enjoys a whopping estimated net worth of Rs 53 crores. His last release, KGF: Chapter 2 grossed over Rs 1006 crores worldwide.
