IU is currently riding on success after the rave response to her latest Netflix Kdrama with Park Bo-gum titled 'When Life Gives You Tangerines'. Amid the success, the actress came under scrutiny in Kim Soo-hyun's dating scandal after his 'Real' movie co-star Sulli's brother took her name in the naked scene controversy.
As per reports, late Sulli's elder brother Choi had claimed in his social media post that IU was first approached for the role of the female lead in the 2017 film 'Real', starring Kim Soo-hyun. He had mentioned that IU had rejected the role and passed it to Sulli. "IU was close with Kim Soo Hyun. After rejecting the original female lead role in Real, she handed the script over to Sulli, (sic)" Choi had stated. The Real movie naked scene controversy came under spotlight after Sulli's brother had alleged that the makers of the film had apparently forced his sister to film the nude scenes with Soo-hyun herself despite having a body double on sets.
In the same social post, as per Koreaboo, Sulli's brother had also claimed IU had introduced a psychiatrist to the Real actress. Later, the late actress introduced the same psychiatrist to late Goo Hara (Kara). He also highlighted both the actresses had passed away.

For those unversed, Kim Soo Hyun & IU had worked together in the 2011 film 'Dream High'. Ever since then, the duo maintained a close personal and professional bond. Soo-hyun had also attended IU's 2024 concert.

After IU, her 'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo' co-star Kim Ji-soo has come under the radar. The 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon' actor recently appeared on the Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition (PBB) in the Philippines, where he passed a causal comment on Kim Soo-hyun which sparked a debate online.
During his appearance, when he was asked about if he had met Soo-hyun in person, Ji Soo casually replied, "Not really. I mean, yeah, I haven't met him personally (sic)," as reported by Koreaboo. The video clip of this conversation is going viral on the internet, grabbing a lot of attention.

Ji Soo has been receiving severe backlash over his latest viral comment on Kim Soo-hyun. Reacting to the clip, one of the Twitter users wrote, "i can only begin to imagine the horrified look on their face once malaman na niya all the things that happened paglabas ng bnk 😭 hekdkfkskf also why the hell is jisoo suddenly in pbb????????", while another one replied, "the way he denied it lol he's scared we'd open his bag full of worms again by associating with kim pedo (sic)".
For those unversed, Jo Soo has left South Korea and relocated to Philippines following a series of school bullying, assault accusations and other damaging allegations against him in 2021.
