It all started when 24-year-old 'Bloodhounds' actress Kim Sae-ron allegedly died by suicide on the day of 'Queen of Tears' actor and her ex bf's birthday, 16th February 2025. Kim Soo-hyun is embroiled into controversy for allegedly dating Sae-ron when she was still a minor. However, actor's agency GOLD MEDALIST denied the 'minor' claims.

The ongoing controversy in the South Korean entertainment industry regarding Kim Soo-hyun and late Kim Sae-ron seems to be in no mood to die down anytime soon. Amidst the ongoing drama, GaroSero Research Institute's YouTube channel dropped explosive pictures and videos of the couple from their dating days, including an alleged naked picture photo of Soo-hyun at late actress' kitchen.

Amidst the tension, Youtuber Lee Jin Ho allegedly released a call recording of Kim Sae-ron with her team in which she allegedly accepted she was married to a New York-based guy. She had also gotten pregnant but decided to abort it.

Kim Soo-hyun's illustrious career has faced yet another turmoil. Days after the naked picture controversy, the actor has been dropped as the model of the popular brand Cuckoo China. As reported by Koreaboo, the brand has officially issued a statement stating that that they would "immediately suspend all promotional activities related to Kim Soo Hyun and replace all image materials featuring him on official platforms."

In the wake of the dating scandal with late Kim Sae-ron, Kim Soo-hyun has apparently lost the title of being the highest-paid South Korean actor. As per reports, the 37-year-old reportedly got paid 500 million KRW for each episode of It's Okay to Not Be Okay (2020) and One Ordinary Day (2021). For Queen of Tears, he allegedly charged 300 million KRW per episode. However, Soo-hyun has been dethroned by 'Buried Hearts' actor Park Hyung-sik.

As per N Entertainments, Hyung-sik took home around 500 million KRW for each episode of the Netflix kdrama 'Doctor Slump'.
