Things got escalated when Kim Soo-hyun was accused of being romantically involved with her in the past when she was still a minor. However, later, The 37-year-old actor hold a press conference and dismissed the 'minor' angle. Previously, Kim Soo-hyun's agency GOLD MEDALIST had accepted the actor's past relationship with Sae-ron but they had also denied the minor accusation.
Amid Kim Soo Hyun Defamation Lawsuit, Fan Union Announces Legal Action Against Rumours
Recently, Kim Soo Hyun's legal team filed a ₩12 Billion KRW lawsuit against late Kim Sae-ron'e bereaved family and GaroSero Research Institute regarding the allegations of him dating the actress when she was still a minor. After that, it was alleged that Soo-hyun's team failed to pay the necessary legal fee for the complaint as his team was facing a financial crisis. Later, his legal team dismissed such claims and claimed that even though they did ask for an extension but the entire fee was paid.
Amid the chaos, Kim Soo-hyun's Fan Union, including Daum Cafe Eucharis and DC Inside's Kim Soo Hyun Gallery, recently announced legal actions against those who spread 'false' and 'malicious rumours' against the actor and target him online, as per Allkpop.
Kim Soo Hyun Controversy Major Update: Kim Sae Ron's Final Call Recording Before Death Leaked
Soon after the Kim Soo-hyun fans' defamation action, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho dropped a shocking video regarding Kim Sae-ron's last phone call before her death on his YouTube channel. Titled 'Shocking Exclusive! Kim Sae Ron's Last Voice Recording... Was It Really Kim Soo Hyun's Fault?', the video contained some unknown details about Sae-ron's final days. According to Allkpop, the YouTuber claimed that the late actress had called one of her close friends and started off his video by dividing Kim Sae-ron's life into two chapters - "From the age of two, she worked tirelessly in the entertainment industry. But after her DUI incident, her life spiraled downward, forcing her to take part-time jobs within a year, (sic)" he was quoted saying.
As claimed by Jin-ho in his YouTube video, Kim Sae Ron was heard saying to her friend, translated by Allkpop, "Nothing happened, really. But my boyfriend showed me YouTube videos of shamans doing readings on me. They all said I'm evil, that I should already be dead, and that my time has stopped. (sic)"
She continued, "They keep saying I'm a withered flower that can't bloom again, that I'm selfish and terrible..."
The YouTuber further claimed that Kim Sae-ron had attempted 'self-harm' multiple times and was washed to the emergency more than 20 times.

In the same video, Lee Jin-ho also said that Kim Sae-ron struggling with 'the weight of being her family's breadwinner' and amidst the financial difficulties, she ended up marrying a New York-based guy to start her life afresh in the US. "Her close acquaintances didn't have a good impression of her American husband nor did they trust him, (sic)" Lee said, adding, "But Kim Sae Ron hoped to escape the harsh realities of her life in Korea and dreamed of a fresh start in the U.S. (sic)"
Lee further claimed that Kim Sae-ron was stuck in a troubled marriage with the American guy and had experience intense conflicts during the course of their relationship. And that's when she started to messaging her ex-bf to find some solace. "Kim Sae Ron tried to continue the marriage and even endured gaslighting in the process, (sic)" he added.
