On Monday (March 17), late actress Kim Sae-ron's family held a press conference in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Kim Sae Ron's family's legal representative, Bu Ji Seok from Bu You Law Firm, along with Kwon Young Chan (director of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association), and former journalist Kim Se Ui, CEO of Garosero Research Institute, gathered outside the agency amid the ongoing controversy.

In the press conference, Sae-ron's family revealed that they'd found another letter which was sent to Sae-ron by Kim Soo-hyun. Their lawyer alleged that the late actress hid the second letter and tried to protect the actor till the very end. In addition to that, attorney Bu further claimed that Sae-ron "didn't want Kim Soo Hyun to be seen negatively" by her family.

Attorney Bu Ji-seok's statement, as quoted by Koreaboo, stated -

"When the first certification of contents arrived, Kim Sae Ron thought, 'There's no way Kim Soo Hyun would have sent something like this. Someone else must have sent it.' Wanting to confirm, she sent a text message to Kim Soo Hyun.

However, the person she trusted, Kim Soo Hyun, did not respond. Instead, a second certified letter arrived, stating that she should not contact him, other actors, or post any photos.

Kim Sae Ron, who always discussed matters with her aunt and family, did not inform them about the second certification of contents. The reason it was only discovered yesterday might be that she didn't want Kim Soo Hyun to be seen negatively by her family. She kept believing in him, saying, "He's not that kind of person." Perhaps that's why she chose not to reveal the second certification of contents.

She bore the burden alone, suffering in silence, and in the end, on Kim Soo Hyun's birthday, she might have made a tragic choice. (sic)"

Amidst the ongoing controversy, GaroSero Research Institute has shared an explosive text exchange between the past lovers on its YouTube channel. The channel revealed that Kim Soo-hyun had deleted KalaoTalk and asked Kim Sae-ron to use Telegram to contact him.

As reported by Koraboo, shared by GaroSero, the text messages read,

Kim Sae Ron: You're going to just delete KakaoTalk like that??

"This is a text message sent by actress Kim Sae Ron, a high school student, to old Kim Soo Hyun on August 13, 2018.
