And now, amid the ongoing dating controversy with the late actress, Kim Soo-hyun has landed himself in yet another legal battle.

On the work front, after the record-breaking success of the Netflix kdrama 'Queen of Tears' in 2023, fans were eagerly waiting for his next series titled 'Knock Off'. For this Disney+ kdrama, the actor paired up with Jo Bo-ah. From the official announcement to its first-look posters, the upcoming drama had already sparked a significant amount of buzz among fans. However, Knock Off, which was originally scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in the first half of 2025, hit a massive roadblock because of Kim Soo-hyun's ongoing scandal. While the makers and the OTT streaming platform are yet to share any release update of their show, Knock Off lead actress Jo Bo-ah finally addresses the show being postponed for the first time.

It's been more than two months since the Korean entertainment industry has been buzzing with headlines about Kim Soo-hyun's scandal over his personal life. Following the tragic death of 24-year-old Kim Sae-ron, several accusations and allegations have been labeled against Kim Soo-hyun by the late actress' bereaved family for their past relationship which allegedly began when the 'Bloodhounds' actress was still a minor.

From leaked pictures, and videos to letters, and call recordings, the Kim Soo Hyun Vs Kim Sae Ron controversy took new twists and turns with every passing day. The scandal not only affected the 37-year-old actor's public image but it also took a huge toll on his career.

Amid what feels like the never-ending lawsuit battles, Kim Soo Hyun gets sued again by yet another advertiser. As reported by Koreaboo, Soo-hyun has found himself in an impending legal battle with Taiwan's 7-Eleven. Reportedly, Taiwan's 7-Eleven is preparing to sue the actor over a 10 billion KRW damaged lawsuit.

As per the report, Taiwan 7-Eleven had roped in Kim Soo Hyun as a model for an expensive endorsement campaign and planned to release various products, including coffee, food and souvenirs. However, the company had to stop the production due to the controversy around his private life.

On the other hand, he was supposed to participate in a festival earlier in March but didn't show up because of the scandal. According to reports, Taiwan's 7-Eleven faced a huge loss of around ₩4.60 billion KRW (about $3.29 million USD), followed by another calculated loss including discarded items and advertising losses, of around ₩6.00 billion KRW (about $4.29 million USD).

Amid Kim Soo Hyun Scandal, Jo Bo-Ah Shares Update On Knock Off

Earlier, it was reported that the shoot for Knock Off was halted indefinitely due to Kim Soo-Hyun's ongoing controversy. While fans are eagerly awaiting some real-time updates on the said kdrama, lead actress Jo Bo Ah finally broke her silence on the same.

As reported by Koreaboo, Jo Bo-ah, who was recently seen in the Netflix kdrama 'Dear Hongrang', remains hopeful that all their hard work won't be in vain.

"I know that a lot of you are curious to know, but I really can't help but approach [talking about Knock Off] with a lot of caution. Just because what I say could unintentionally hurt someone, so I'd rather hold back on commenting. I will say Knock Off is a project where everyone involved poured a lot of energy and affection into, and I believe that effort will be recognized someday and lead to a good outcome, (sic)" she was quoted saying.
