Aroopi Story

Aroopi is an upcoming Malayalam horror supernatural thriller directed by Abhilash Warrier, who has also written the story and screenplay. The film stars Vysakh Ravi, Neha Chawla, and Sakshi Badala in the lead roles, alongside Joy Mathew, Sindhu Varma, Kiran Raj, Adithya Raj, Mathew Raju, Reshma, Anjana Menon, Suja Rose, Vishnukanth, Sangeetha, Kannan Sagar, Nebu Abraham, Vinay, Antony Henry, Jojo Antony, Vaishnav, and several other actors in pivotal supporting roles. The film's music is composed by Gopi Sundar, while Aman handles the cinematography and V. T. Vineeth serves as the editor. Aroopi is produced by Pradeep Raj under the Punartham Productions banner. Blending supernatural horror with folklore and mystery, the film promises a chilling cinematic experience filled with suspense, eerie visuals, and unexpected twists.

Story Plot

Aroopi revolves around a centuries-old legend connected to Padmini Thampuratty, a fearless princess from the historic Karur Mana, renowned for her mastery of martial arts and extraordinary abilities. While she is admired by the entire village, her cousin Dathan Thampuran becomes obsessively infatuated with her despite her rejection. The story then shifts to the present day, where a vengeful Yakshini imprisoned inside an ancient doll is accidentally unleashed at the mysterious Aryanattu Estate. As a terrifying supernatural curse engulfs everyone who enters the estate, a group of unsuspecting newcomers find themselves trapped in a deadly battle against an ancient evil. As long-buried secrets from the past begin to unravel, they must uncover the truth behind the cursed spirit before it claims more lives. Combining Kerala folklore, supernatural horror, and psychological suspense, Aroopi delivers an intense thriller packed with mystery, terrifying encounters, and emotional drama.
