Kala Pani movie is about the sufferings of a young man govardhan (Mohanlal) who is wrongly accused of being an extremist freedom fighter and is then jailed in a cellular jail at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands by the British. The film also show the cruelties inflicted by British officials on British India.
