Kaanakkanmani movie is based on the happenings in the life of Roy (Jayaram) his wife Maya (Padmapriya) and daughter Anakha (Baby Nivedhitha) who lives in an estate bungalow. Roy and Maya belong to different caste. Usually this was an issue for them to argue. But it was peripheral. Actually they loved each other and their daughter's intervention was enough to settle the problems regarding their fight.
