Kanal is a Malayalam thriller flick from the director M Padmakumar. Movie has an ensemble cast of Mohanlal, Anoop Menon, Honey Rose and Nikitha Thukral in the lead role.

John David(Mohanal) who is an animator by profession happends to meet Anantharaman(Anoop Menon) a media person after a long gap of many years during a train journey. These meeting refired their old troubled memories, the resulting events are plotted in M Padmakumar's Kanal. A first look 9 sec motion poster was released on 8th sepetember 2015 via youtube which shows Mohanlal in the backdrop of Middle East city with a tagline 'Every end has an old beginning'.
