Kilukkam movie revolves around Nandini (Revathi) who is an orphan who comes to Ooty in search of her father who is a retired chief justice of supreme court. She finds Joji (Mohanlal) who is a tourist guide and acts as though she is mad and takes shelter in his home. Eventually she reveals her true identity and they slowly begin to fall in love. Other parallel threads includes the life of Joji and Nischal (Jagathy Sreekumar) and also that of Kittunni (Innocent Vincent) who leads a miserable and frustrated life as a servant.
