Novel movie is the story of Sethunath (Jayaram) who is a prosperous business man and also a deep thinking writer. However, when his creation titled 'Swantham' becomes a hot seller and also gets the commonwealth awards, the writer is not interested so much so that he is not even aware who has got the translation done and worked for its way to the commonwealth.

While Sethu is busy trying to stay away from the media, one girl breaks the shackles. Enters Aneesa, who is determined to get a personal interview with her favorite writer Sethu and does not hesitate to get it at the expense of bribing Sethu's Secretary Subramaniam Swamy and finally succeeds.

Luckily for her, Sethu is impressed with her resilience and also the fact that she comes from the same orphanage that he hailed from makes him open his heart. His life talks about his failed marriage and Priyanandini (Sada) whom he encounters during the making of a lottery commercial. Gradually, Priya gets big with the support of Sethu to reach the pinnacle of stardom.

In this process, both of them fall in love with each other and when they decide to get married enters Manju (Shari) who is Sethu's wife from the US who does not allow this to happen. What happens to Priya? What happens to the love between them? What does Manju do forms the rest of the story.
