Painkili Story

Painkili is a Malayalam romantic-comedy movie directed by Sreejith Babu and featuring Anaswara Rajan and Sajin Gopu in the lead roles.

The film's screenplay is written by Jithu Madhavan and jointly produced by Fahadh Faasil and Jithu Madhavan under the banners of Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Urban Animal. The film has cinematography by Arjun Sethu, editing by Kiran Das, and music by Justin Varghese.

Movie Plot

It tells the story of a young man who makes a modest living running a small shop, content with his simple routine. However, a series of unfortunate events force him into an unusual predicament he must obtain a false mental health certificate to navigate his troubles.

Amidst this chaos, he unexpectedly crosses paths with a spirited young woman determined to escape the confines of her home, where her family persistently pressures her into marriage. As their lives intertwine, what begins as a chance encounter evolves into an unpredictable journey filled with humor, heartfelt moments, and unexpected revelations. Together, they navigate their struggles, challenging societal expectations and discovering new perspectives on freedom, identity, and companionship.
