Mammootty and Mohanlal starrer Patriot was released in theatres on May 1, 2026, and emerged as one of the most talked-about Malayalam films of the year. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the political spy thriller also stars Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathi in key roles, bringing together an ensemble cast for a gripping tale of power, surveillance, and national security. After completing its theatrical run, the film’s digital streaming rights were acquired by ZEE5.
The makers have officially announced that Patriot will begin streaming on the platform from June 5, 2026, in Malayalam along with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi dubbed versions. Centered on a high-stakes surveillance scandal and political conspiracy, the thriller is expected to attract strong viewership on OTT.
