Rappakal Story

Raappakal  movie is about a homely,affectionate servant who is ready to sacrifice anything for the big famile that feeds him. Saraswathiyamma (Sharada) is the head of a noble and ancestral family. All her relatives live away from her, in different cities in India and abroad.
 
Krishnan (Mammoothy )is a worker in that house, who is an orphan and was brought up by Sharada since childhood. He is honest and has a motherly affection towards Sharada. He looks after the entire household and her. Sharada regards him as one of her sons.

During the vacation of the children all the relatives gather in that house for a few days. When they see the richness of the palatial building an idea strikes them. They plan to sell the house and its rich belongings and build a hotel in the city for want of money. Sharada and Mammothy are against their plan as they are very much attached to the house.
