Jagat took to Instagram to share the proposal video, tagging Amala Paul in the post. In the caption, he wrote, "My Gypsy Queen said yes #weddingbells. Happy birthday, my love." The video captures Amala enthusiastically accepting Jagat's proposal, and the couple joyfully dances to the music.

AMALA PAUL'S FIRST WEDDING WITH AL VIJAY & DIVORCE REASON
For those who are unaware, the Tamil film Deiva Thirumagal, released in 2011 and directed by AL Vijay, marked a significant point in Amala Paul's career and personal life. During the shoot, rumors of a romantic relationship between Vijay and Amala began circulating, but the duo denied these claims. However, nearly three years later, they publicly acknowledged their love and announced their marriage plans, setting the date for mid-2014.
The wedding took place on June 12, 2014, in Chennai, where both Christian and Hindu rituals were performed, and their wedding pictures quickly went viral. Unfortunately, their union was short-lived. In 2016, Amala Paul and AL Vijay decided to part ways due to lifestyle differences. Initially, the couple remained tight-lipped about the situation, but Vijay's father, A.L. Azhagappan, eventually confirmed the separation on national television in July 2016.
The formal divorce proceedings began in February 2017 when both parties filed for divorce, and there was no possibility of reconciliation. Amala Paul's desire to continue her acting career, which her in-laws did not support, was a significant factor in the divorce. Various unresolved issues between the couple further contributed to their decision to end the marriage. Consequently, in February 2017, a family court in Chennai officially declared Amala and Vijay divorced.
In 2019, AL Vijay entered a new chapter in his life as he married Dr. R. Aishwarya, a woman from his own community, in a traditional Indian arranged marriage facilitated by their families. Now, Amala too is all set for a new beginning with beau Jagat Desai. Heartiest congratulations to them!
