1000 Babies Season 2 OTT Release: Rahman, the senior actor made his OTT debut in 2024, with the mystery crime thriller series, directed by Najeem Koya. 1000 Babies also marked senior Bollywood actress Neena Gupta's comeback to the Malayalam film industry, after a long gap of 32 years. The web series, which earned rave reviews from the audiences and critics, is now set to return to the OTT screens with a Season 2.

1000 Babies Season 2 OTT Release

As per the latest updates, 1000 Babies Season 2 is currently under production, and is expected to have its OTT release on the popular streaming platform Jio Hotstar, in 2026. The new update was confirmed by the OTT giant at the recently held Jio Hotstar South Unbound event. As you may know, the streaming platform revealed its massive South slate for the upcoming years, at the event.

"A thousand stories. A thousand emotions. 1000 Babies Season 2 Coming Soon," wrote Jio Hotstar, which unveiled the announcement teaser of the upcoming Rahman starrer on its social media handles. The new season, which is expected to follow a new chapter of its protagonist CI Aji Kurian's investigation, is reportedly under its pre-production stage now.

If things go as planned, 1000 Babies Season 2 will have its OTT release by second half of 2026. The most awaited mystery crime thriller series is expected to stream on Jio Hotstar in 7 languages, including the Malayalam original, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, and Marathi.

1000 Babies Season 2 Cast And Crew

As per the reports, Rahman is set to return to the 1000 Babies Season 2, reprising the role of CI Aji Kurian. However, Neena Gupta, who played the highly dangerous Sarah Ouseph in the first season, might not be a part of the upcoming second season. Sanju Sivaram, Adil Ibrahim, Joy Mathew, Ashwin K Kumar, and others are also expected to return to the second season, which will have an additional cast as well.

Sankar Sharma composed the songs and the original score for 1000 Babies. Faiz Siddik is the director of photography. John Kutty handled the editing. 1000 Babies is jointly produced by Shaji Nadesan and Popular Tamil actor Arya, under the banner August Cinema.
