Bha Bha Ba Vs Empuraan Box Office Worldwide Collections Day 4: Dileep's Film Fails To Beat Mohanlal Starrer
Bha Bha Ba Vs Empuraan Box Office Worldwide Collections Day 4: Dileep made a grand comeback to the big screens with the Dhananjay Shankar directorial. Bha Bha Ba made a grand opening at the box office and had a 4-days-long weekend, just like Mohanlal's blockbuster film Empuraan. However, the Dileep starrer failed to beat the 4 days (first weekend) record of the Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial.
Bha Bha Ba Vs Empuraan Box Office Worldwide Collections Day 4
Well, both Bha Bha Ba and Empuraan are quite similar in many ways, when it comes to their releases. Both the Dileep starrer and the Mohanlal film hit the theatres with massive pre-release hypes. Both films featured massive star casts, had grand box office openings, and even got a similar long first weekend run (4 days) at the worldwide box office. Interestingly, Gokulam Gopalan was a producer of Empuraan, while he also bankrolled Bha Bha Ba.
Bha Bha Ba went on to make a first weekend (4 days) collection of around ₹35 crore, according to the latest trade experts. Empuraan, however, collected over a massive ₹174 crore at the worldwide box office, within just the first 4 days of its release. The Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial thus emerged as the fastest ₹100 crore and ₹150 crore film of Malayalam cinema.
The Dileep starrer directed by Dhananjay Shankar, on the other hand, failed to touch ₹40 crore on first weekend. Despite having a massive hype and star cast, including a star cameo by Mohanlal, Bha Bha Ba has not been able to create a rampage at the box office like Empuraan. However, it is indeed a huge achievement for the Janapriyanayakan, who has finally made his entry into the ₹30 crore club of Malayalam cinema.
Bha Bha Ba Cast And Crew
Dileep played the central character in Bha Bha Ba, while Mohanlal made a cameo appearance as 'Gilli Bala'. The action comedy film features actor siblings Vineeth Sreenivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan, in the pivotal roles. Sandy Master, Baiju Santhosh, Ashokan, Maniyanpilla Raju, Devan, Balu Varghese, Sidharth Bharathan, Shaju Sreedhar, Saranya Ponvannan, Redin Kingsley, Vijay Menon, and others essay the supporting roles.
Shaan Rahman composes the songs, and Gopi Sundar handled the background score for Bha Bha Ba. Armo and Ranjan Abraham handled the cinematography and editing of the film, respectively. Bha Bha Ba is reportedly expected to get a sequel, very soon.
