Joju George, Sanal Kumar Sasidharan Mourn Akhil Vishwanath's Demise

Popular actor-filmmaker Joju George, who has previously worked with Akhil Vishwanath in Chola, took to his official Instagram page and mourned the untimely demise of the young talent. Joju shared a couple of pictures from the Chola location and promotional events, along with a caption that reads: "Rest In Peace Akhil." For the uninitiated, Akhil played one of the protagonists, The Lover, in the film which featured Joju George and Nimisha Sajayan in the other key roles.

Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, the director of Chola, took to his official Facebook handle and penned a heartbreaking note about Akhil. "The news that Akhil committed suicide is heartbreaking. He came to cinema from the depths of poverty. Just one film, Chola, was enough for him to establish himself as an actor in Malayalam cinema. But that did not happen," wrote the filmmaker.

"I feel sad, Akhil. I don't know what caused this untimely death. But your blood has a share in those who have darkened the future of people including you," further added Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, who alleged that his film, and the future of the cast and crew members including Akhil Vishwanathan, was spoiled by those who target him.
