Dileep's Bha Bha Ba Sparks Massive Outrage With R*pe Joke; Netizens Call It Disgusting

Dileep, who was recently acquitted from the infamous actress abduction case', has made his 'real comeback' with the recent release Bha Bha Ba (Bhayam Bhakthi Bahumanam). The action comedy film, directed by newcomer Dhananjay Shankar, features Mohanlal in a special role. But, Bha Bha Ba is now sparking major outrage online with a 'r*pe joke', which has become an unavoidable part of all Dileep films.

Dileep's Bha Bha Ba Sparks Outrage With R*pe Joke

As expected, Bha Bha Ba has made a massive opening at the worldwide box office. However, Dileep's film has clearly irked a massive group of audiences, with a controversial 'kidnapping' scene, which involves a 'r*pe joke'. For the uninitiated, the Janapriyanayakan is seen arriving to kidnap a woman, while Dhyan Sreenivasan's character narrates the supposedly 'funny' story behind this act.

"I'll tell you a story. Annan (big brother) kidnapped Ramani long ago," narrates Dhyan's character Godson Ancharakandy, as Vineeth Sreenivasan's character listens curiously. "He kidnapped her and milked her," adds him further only to reveal a second later, that Ramani, is in fact, a cow. While the Dileep fans, who grew up watching such scenes in their idol's films (infamous Meesa Madhavan for scene for example) remain unbothered, this has sparked a major outrage amidst common audiences.

A major group of cinephiles, who are evidently uncomfortable with this Bha Bha Ba scene, has been calling the film's team social media. The netizens are calling this 'r*pe joke' scene disgusting, and are appalled over the fact that the Dileep starrer is co-written by a woman - actress Noorin Shereef. Some of them also believe that the Bha Bha Ba team was mocking the actress abduction case, with this scene.

Chinmayi Sripada Reacts To Dileep's Controversial Bha Bha Ba Scene

The National Award-winning singer took to her official social media handles and reacted to Dileep's controversial Bha Bha Ba 'r*pe joke' scene, with a strong post. "People have come to a point where they are actually making a joke about a real life sexual assault case in a film whose 'quotation giver' has still not been found. Hell is probably better than here," wrote Chinmayi Sripada on her x (formerly Twitter) post.

Well, for the audience who grew up watching Malayalam films, this is not a shocking scene (especially in a Dileep starrer). However, the sensible cinephiles are calling out the makers of Bha Bha Ba, for its sheer mockery of women's safety and dignity, in the pretext of creating a 'spoof film.' But sadly, such scenes are approved by the producer, director, actors, and technicians, who claim to support the survivor. Surprisingly, even the Indian censor board which has a major issue with the romantic scenes in western films, has conveniently ignored Bha Bha Ba.
