Drishyam 3 Original Release Date: To Hit The Screens On THIS Day? Mohanlal is reuniting with hitmaker Jeethu Joseph, for the third installment of the Drishyam franchise. The filming of the much-awaited project, titled Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, was wrapped up recently. As per the latest updates, the Mohanlal starrer will hit the theatres much before Ajay Devgn's Hindi remake.

Drishyam 3 Original Release Date: Here's A Big Update

Recently, director Jeethu Joseph, who scripted and directed all original films of the Drishyam franchise, had confirmed that the Mohanlal starrer will release first. Even though Ajay Devgn and team announced the Drishyam 3 remake's release date in advance, it will not overtake the original version. As per the latest updates by popular industry tracking handle Forum Reelz , Drishyam 3 Malayalam might hit the theatres on April 9, 2026.

In that case, the long-awaited crime drama film will mark Mohanlal's first release of 2026. It is now also safe to assume that Drishyam 3 will be Malayalam cinema's most anticipated releases for the Vishu season of 2026. If the Jeethu Joseph directorial confirms its release for April 9, 2026, it is highly unlikely for the industry to have more high profile releases during the season. However, the makers have not confirmed the release date officially, yet.

Previously, director Jeethu Joseph had made it clear that the Malayalam team will move legally against the Hindi version, if it is confirmed to release before the original. Even though the Drishyam 3 Hindi makers' announcement left the Malayalam cinema audiences confused and disheartened, the new updates came out as a big relief.

Drishyam 3 Cast And Crew

Mohanlal is set to reprise his iconic character George Kutty, in the Jeethu Joseh directorial. Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil will return to play George Kutty's wife Rani and their daughters, in Drishyam 3. The movie features a massive star cast including Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, KB Ganesh Kumar, Santhi Mayadevi, and others will also reprise their respective roles from Part 1 and 2, in the third installments.

Drishyam 3 is produced by Antony Perumbavoor, under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas. The theatrical rights, satellite rights and the post-theatrical digital rights of the Mohanlal starrer have been bagged by the renowned banners Panorama Studios and Pen Studios, for a record price.
