The pan-Indian star plays the role of TK Mahadevan, the first superstar of Tamil cinema, in the film. During a recent promotional interview, Dulquer Salmaan revealed he is quite an emotional person when it comes to his personal life.

In a recent interaction with the audiences for the Honest Townhall YouTube channel, the popular star revealed that he never shies away from expressing his emotions, much like his legendary father, Mammootty. When a fan asked what his take on the societal norm that doesn't let men cry in front of others, Dulquer Salmaan shared an interesting anecdote. The actor-producer revealed that he cried when a film he produced flopped badly.

"It doesn't make me less than anyone. Do you think I'm less of a man?" asked Dulquer Salmaan, who also revealed that he and his father, the legendary actor Mammootty have cried together when they watch films at home. "My father and I together have cried watching The Lion King," revealed the Lokah actor, leaving both the audiences and the netizens in surprise.

"Like, when Mufasa died, I was like (puts on the expression of controlling his tears), and I was looking at my dad, and he was already crying," revealed Dulquer Salmaan with a smile. The popular actor's new revelation has clearly turned the limelight into men's mental health discussions on social media, all over again.
