Kalamkaval Box Office Collection Day 1: The long-awaited neo-noir crime thriller, which features Mammootty and Vinayakan in the lead roles, finally hit the big screens on December 5, 2025. Kalamkaval marked the directorial debut of Jithin K Jose, the story writer of Kurup. As per the recent updates, the Mammootty starrer is off to a fantastic start at the box office, by making an excellent opening collection.

According to the recent updates by the industry tracker website Sacnilk, Kalamkaval has made an excellent opening at the domestic (all-India) box office, by making a net collection of over ₹4.75 crore (early estimates). Meanwhile, some unconfirmed reports suggest that the all-India gross collection of the Mammootty starrer has crossed the ₹7 Crore mark. Kalamkaval: All You Need To Know

The Jithin K Jose directorial, which is set against the backdrop of the early 2000s in Kerala, revolves around an investigation led by SI Jayakrishnan (Vinayakan) and team. The officers, who investigate a girl's missing case, soon realise that many women have gone missing in the past, in the same pattern. Jayakrishnan's probe soon leads him to Stanley Das (Mammootty), a middle-aged, soft-spoken family man with a dark side to him.

Along with the megastar and the Jailer actor, Kalamkaval features a massive star cast including Rajisha Vijayan, Gibin Gopinath, Shruti Ramachandran, Gayathri Arun, Malavika Menon, Kunchan, Azees Nedumangad, Aravind SK, Kunchan, Biju Pappan, Dhanya Ananya, Harishankar SG, RJ Sooraj, and others in the supporting roles.

Mujeeb Majeed has composed the songs and the original score for the Mammootty starrer. Faisal Ali and Praveen Prabhakar handle the cinematography and editing, respectively. Kalamkaval is produced by Mammootty Kampany, and distributed by Wayfarer Films.
