Kalamkaval Box Office Collection Day 8: Mammootty's Crime Thriller Refuses To Slow Down In India

Kalamkaval Box Office Collection Day 8: Mammootty teamed up with newcomer Jithin K Jose for the latter's debut directorial venture, which hit the theatres on December 5, 2025. The megastar played an out-and-out negative role in Kalamkaval, which features popular actor Vinayakan as the protagonist. As the movie stepped in to its Day 8 at the theatres, it is showing no signs of slowing down in India.

As per the recent updates published by the box office tracking website Sacnilk, Kalamkaval made a net collection of over ₹27.95 crore domestically (all-India collection), within the first 8 days of its release. The Mammootty starrer has reportedly made a total gross collection of around ₹30 crore at the all-India box office, in 8 days. The Jithin K Jose directorial witnessed a drop of hardly 3 to 4 percent in its collections on weekdays, and refuses to slowdown both in Kerala and all major Indian cities.

If things proceed at the same rate, Kalamkaval has high chances to cross the ₹40 crore mark with its gross collection from India, within its lifetime run at the theatres. The Jithin K Jose directorial is also expected to emerge as Mammootty's first ₹100 crore mark film, at the worldwide box office.

Kalamkaval OTT Platform, Cast And Crew

As reported earlier, the OTT streaming rights of Kalamkaval have been bagged by the famous platform Sony LIV much before its release, for a whopping price. Mammootty and Vinayakan's neo-noir crime thriller is expected to stream on the platform, around 35 to 40 days after its theatrical release. Along with the original Malayalam version, the blockbuster film will be available in at least 4 more languages in the platform, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Mammootty appears as antagonist Stanley Das in Kalamkaval, which stars Vinayakan play the protagonist, SI Jayakrishnan. Gibin Gopinath, Rajisha Vijayan, Gayathri Arun, Shruti Ramachandran, Vaishnavi Sai Kumar, Dhanya Ananya, Mohanapriya, Sindhu Varma, Sidhi Fathima, Seema, Kabani, and others essay the supporting roles.

Mujeeb Majeed composed the songs and original score for the crime thriller. Faisal Ali is the director of photography. Praveen Prabhakar handles the editing. Kalamkaval is produced by Mammootty Kampany and distributed by Wayfarer Films.
