Kalamkaval Box Office Worldwide Collection Day 6: The neo-noir crime thriller film, which marks the directorial debut of Kurup fame writer Jithin K Jose, has been receiving excellent reviews from both the audiences and critics. Mammootty played the lead antagonist in Kalamkaval, which features Vinayakan as the protagonist. When it completed 6 days of release, the Mammootty starrer has earned the blockbuster status.

According to the recent updates from the box office tracker Jerin Georgekutty, Kalamkaval has now crossed the ₹60 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The Mammootty, Vinayakan starrer achieved this feet within the first 6 days of its release. So now, it is safe to assume that the Week 1 box office collections of the Jithin K Jose directorial will exceed ₹62 crore. It is indeed an excellent collection for the film, which was made with a budget of over ₹25 crore.

If things proceed at the same rate, an excellent second weekend is on cards for Kalamkaval. The rave reviews from both the audiences and critics, as well as the extraordinary word-of-mouth publicity have been clearly favouring the Mammootty starrer, which hit the theatres after multiple delays. Now, it is safe to assume that the neo-noir crime thriller will cross the ₹100 crore mark at the worldwide box office, by the end of its second week at the theatres.

As reported earlier, popular streaming platform Sony LIV has bagged the OTT rights of Kalamkaval, for a whopping price. The movie is expected to have its OTT release in over 5 languages, including Malayalam original, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, soon after its theatrical run.

Along with Mammootty and Vinayakan, the Jithin K Jose directorial features a massive star cast including Rajisha Vijayan, Gibin Gopinath, Shruti Ramachandran, Gayathri Arun, Azees Nedumangad, Vaishnavi Sai Kumar and others. Mujeeb Majeed composes the music score. Faisal Ali is the director of photography. Praveen Prabhakar handles the editing. Kalamkaval is produced by Mammootty Kampany and distributed by Wayfarer Films.
