Kalamkaval Hit Or Flop? Audience Verdict Is Here: Mammootty, the megastar of Malayalam cinema is returning to the big screens after a short break, with the neo-noir crime thriller. The movie, which is helmed by newcomer Jithin K Jose, features the legendary actor in the role of the antagonist. Popular actor Vinayakan plays the protagonist in Kalamkaval, which has been receiving excellent reviews from both the audiences and critics.

As Mammootty and Vinayakan's much-awaited completed its initial shows, highly positive reviews are pouring in for the film from all directions. Both the film fanatics and common audiences are loving the Jithin K Jose directorial alike, and are calling it a genre-defining crime thriller. When Kalamkaval completed first half of its release day, it has already been confirmed that the megastar has had yet another clear winner, with this film.

The audiences are also showering praises on leading man Mammootty for the brave career choices he has been making. Vinayakan, who plays the police officer, has also impressed the cinephiles with his powerful portrayal of the role. However, the slow-paced narrative of Kalamkaval, especially in the first half, has not impressed some of the viewers.

Kalamkaval OTT Platform, Cast, And Crew

Mammootty and Vinayakan's film is expected to have its grand release on OTT, around 30 to 40 days after its theatrical release. The streaming rights of Kalamkaval have been bagged by the OTT giant Sony LIV, for a whopping price. The Jithin K Jose directorial is expected to get dubbed in at least 5 more languages, upon its OTT release.

Along with Mammootty and Vinayakan, Kalamkaval features a stellar star cast including Gibin Gopinath, Rajisha Vijayan, Gayathri Arun, Shruti Ramachandran, Vaishnavi Sai Kumar, Dhanya Ananya, Sindhu Varma, and others in the supporting roles. Mujeeb Majeed composes the songs and the original score for the film. Faisal Ali and Praveen Prabhakar handle the cinematography and editing, respectively. The Jithin K Jose directorial is produced by Mammootty Kampany and distributed by Wayfarer Films.
