Kalamkaval OTT Release: The long-awaited neo-noir crime thriller film, which stars Mammootty and Vinayakan in the lead roles, finally hit the theatres on December 5, 2025. Kalamkaval marks the directorial debut of writer Jithin K Jose, who is best known for his work in Kurup. As expected, the Mammootty-Vinayakan starrer has been receving positive reviews from the audiences. Meanwhile, more details on Kalamkaval's OTT platform have been revealed.

Kalamkaval OTT Release: Where To Watch After Theatrical Run

As per the latest updates, the post-theatrical OTT streaming rights of Kalamkaval have been bagged by the renowned platform Sony LIV. Reportedly, leading man-producer Mammootty was keen to finalise the OTT deal for the film before it releases, in order to save it from the fates of his previous releases, Dominic And The Ladies Purse and Bazooka. That is the reason why the release of Kalamkaval was pushed from November 27, 2025 to December 5, 2025.

If things go as planned, the Jithin K Jose directorial will have its OTT release on Sony LIV, around 35 to 40 days after its theatrical release. In that case, we can expect the Kalamkaval OTT release date to fall on the first week of January 2026. However, the release might get delayed further if the film performs exceedingly well at the box office. The Mammootty starrer is expected to stream on the platform in 5 languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Kalamkaval Cast And Crew

Mammootty appears as the lead antagonist in the film, which features Vinayakan in the role of the protagonist. Kalamkaval features Gibin Gopinath, Rajisha Vijayan, Gayathri Arun, Shruti Ramachandran, Vaishnavi Sai Kumar, Dhanya Ananya, Mohanapriya, Sindhu Varma, Sidhi Fathima, Seema, Kabani, and others in the supporting roles. Mujeeb Majeed composes the songs and the original score. Faisal Ali and Praveen Prabhakar handle the cinematography and editing, respectively. The Jithin K Jose directorial is produced by Mammootty Kampany and distributed by Wayfarer Films.
