Mammootty's Menacing Avatar In Kalamkaval Pre-Release Teaser Wins Internet: The megastar of Malayalam cinema is all set to return to the big screens after a short gap, with the upcoming neo-noir crime thriller. Kalamkaval, which marks the directorial debut of Kurup fame writer Jithin K Jose, features Mammootty as the lead antagonist, and Vinayakan as the protagonist. The recently released pre-release teaser of the film has left the netizens highly thriller, with its presentation of these characters.

The recently dropped Kalamkaval pre-release teaser reveals nothing about the film's plot, oru Mammootty and Vinayakan's characters in the film. But, it is evident that the Jailer actor is playing the protagonist, a police officer in the film. The megastar, on the other hand, appears as a highly mysterious character, who describes the "joy in killing another human being" in the most spine chilling manner. Later, a frame which shows Mammootty flaunting a terrifying smile, confirms that the legendary actor is all set to surprise the cinegoers, yet again.

"Fresh Expression. On the way to challenge next year awards also," wrote a fan, who was awestruck with Mammmootty's menacing presence in the Kalamkaval teaser. "Believe me bro is 74 years old," wrote another proud fan on X. "Possibly superceding the likes of Vidheyan, Palerimanikyam etc, is this all set to be the most evil/riskiest character Mammootty has played in his career?! I am waiting to see how an audience who has admired him as a hero for 43+ years reacts to him playing such a character," posted a cinephile.

Mammootty appears as antagonist Mohan Nair in the film, which stars Vinayakan play the protagonist, ASI Thomas Chacko. Gibin Gopinath, Rajisha Vijayan, Gayathri Arun, Shruti Ramachandran, Vaishnavi Sai Kumar, Dhanya Ananya, Mohanapriya, Sindhu Varma, Sidhi Fathima, Seema, Kabani, and others appear in the supporting roles. Mujeeb Majeed composes the music score. Faisal Ali is the director of photography. Praveen Prabhakar handles the editing. Kalamkaval is produced by Mammootty Kampany and distributed by Wayfarer Films.
