Kalamkaval Pre-Sales Crosses ₹1 Crore Mark: Mammootty, the megastar of Malayalam cinema, is all set to play yet another negative role, in the upcoming Jithin K Jose directorial. Kalamkaval, which features talented actor Vinayakan in the lead role, has been garnering the attention of audiences with its fantastic teasers, trailer, and songs, that were released recently. As per the reports, the neo-noir crime thriller is now doing exceptionally well with its pre-sales.

Mammootty's Kalamkaval Pre-Sales Crosses ₹1 Crore Mark

According to the recent updates by the industry trackers, Kalamkaval has collected over ₹1 Crore from the Kerala box office, in less than 48 hours of its advance booking sales. The Mammootty starrer has witnessed a steady increase in interest on all major booking platforms, all thanks to the exceptional pre-release teaser which was released recently. While considering the same, it is safe to assume that the much-awaited film will have a fantastic opening at the box office.

What Is In Store For KalamKaval?

Well, it was indeed a not-so-great move by the makers to move the film from its original release date (November 27, 2025), to the December 5, 2025. This has resulted in Kalamkaval losing out on a long weekend, which could have positively impacted the film's run in all major release centers, especially the UAE and GCC areas. However, it doesn't necessarily mean that the Mammootty starrer will have an underwhelming opening. The neo-noir crime thriller, going by the current trends, is expected to collect at least over ₹3 crore from the worldwide box office, on its Day 1.

Mammootty plays antagonist Mohan Nair in the film, which stars Vinayakan as the protagonist Thomas Chacko, a police officer. Gibin Gopinath, Rajisha Vijayan, Gayathri Arun, Shruti Ramachandran, Vaishnavi Sai Kumar, Dhanya Ananya, Mohanapriya, Sindhu Varma, Sidhi Fathima, Seema, Kabani, and others play the supporting roles. Mujeeb Majeed composes the songs and the original score. Faisal Ali is the director of photography. Praveen Prabhakar handles the editing. Kalamkaval is produced by Mammootty Kampany and distributed by Wayfarer Films.
