Kalamkaval Vs Hridayapoorvam Box Office Collection Day 10: Mammootty made a grand comeback to the big screens with the neo-noir crime thriller, helmed by Jithin K Jose. The megastar played the lead antagonist in Kalamkaval, which features Vinayakan as the protagonist. The movie, which hit the theatres globally on December 5, 2025, has now surpassed the lifetime collections of Hridayapoorvam, the Mohanlal starrer directed by Sathyan Anthikad.

According to the recent updates by the industry business tracker Jerin Georgekutty's recent X (formerly Twitter) post, Kalamkaval has now officially surpassed the lifetime collections of Hridayapoorvam at the worldwide box office. The Mammootty starrer achieved this remarkable feet, by crossing the ₹75 crore mark globally, within the first 10 days of its release. The movie is expected to cross the ₹78 crore mark at the worldwide box office, on Day 11, which is also its second Monday at the theatres.

As per the reports by the box office tracking website Sacnilk, Hridayapoorvam has collected around ₹75 crore from the worldwide box office, within its lifetime run at the theatres. The family drama, which marked Mohanlal's reunion with senior filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad after a very long break, featured Sangeeth Prathap and Malavika Mohanan in the other pivotal roles.

Kalamkaval Box Office: What Is In Store?

If things proceed at the same rate, Kalamkaval has high potential to emerge as both the highest grossing film and the first ₹100 crore film in the career of its leading man, Mammootty. The extraordinary reviews and strong word-of-mouth publicity has been highly benefitting the film, especially at the Kerala and Overseas box office.

Mammootty plays the role of Stanley Das, a cold-blooded serial killer in Kalamkaval, which is scripted by director Jithin K Jose, himself. Vinayakan appears as Jayakrishnan, a police officer in the film, which stars Shruti Ramachandran, Gayathri Arun, Gibin Gopinath, Azees Nedumangad, Vaishnavi Sai Kumar, Malavika, and others in the key roles. Mujeeb Majeed composed the music score for the film, which is bankrolled by Mammootty Kampany.
