Kalamkaval Vs Thudarum Worldwide Box Office Day 3: The neo-noir crime thriller, which features Mammootty as the antagonist and Vinayakan as the protagonist, has been receiving excellent reviews from the audiences. When it completed the first 3 days (first weekend) of its release, Kalamkaval has crossed ₹40 crore mark at the worldwide box office. However, the movie has still failed to surpass the 3 days collection of Mohanlal's Thudarum.

According to the recent updates by the production banner, Mammootty Kampany, Kalamkaval has made a total worldwide gross collection of ₹44.15 crore, within the first weekend (3 days) of its release. It is one of the biggest first weekend openings of leading man Mammootty's acting career. While considering the current box office trends, it is also safe to assume that the Jithin K Jose directorial might enter the ₹100 crore club of Malayalam cinema, by its second weekend.

However, Kalamkaval has still failed to surpass the first weekend collection of Thudarum, the Mohanlal starrer directed by Tharun Moorthy, which was released in April 2025. For the uninitiated, the action drama film had made a gross collection of around ₹70 crore, when it completed the first 3 days of its release. Unlike the Day 1 collections, Mammootty's film has missed the first weekend mark by a huge margin. However, Jithin K Jose film is hold strongly at the box office, and is confirmed to emerge as a blockbuster soon.

Kalamkaval Cast And Crew

Mammootty plays the role of Stanley Das, a seemingly simple, family man who is, in fact, a serial killer. Vinayakan appears in the role of Jayakrishnan, a police officer who is on a mission to solve the serial women missing cases. Kalamkaval features Rajisha Vijayan, Gibin Gopinath, Shruti Ramachandran, Gayathri Arun, Vaishnavi Sai Kumar, Devadevan Vijayaraghavan, and others in the other prominent roles. Mujeeb Majeed composed the music score. Praveen Prabhakar handles the editing.
