The biggest names of Malayalam cinema, including Mammootty and Mohanlal joined Sreenivasan's family at the Eranakulam Town Hall, to pay last respects to the legendary artist. The legendary superstars, who shared a deep personal bond with the actor-writer, were seen sharing an emotional moment as they bid adieu to their dear friend.

Mammootty shared a deep friendship with Sreenivasan since the beginning of their careers. Mohanlal, on the other hand, had an unmatched camaraderie with the legend in some of the most memorble films (remembering the iconic Dasan-Vijayan duo). The duo were seen sitting together near their own Sreeni one last time, along with their friend and senior director Sathyan Anthikad. Mohanlal is seen getting teary eyed, while Mammootty tried to soothe him, in the videos that are circulating on social media.

The senior superstars were also seen sharing emotional moments with the legend's family, including his sons Vineeth Sreenivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan, and wife Vimala, as they arrived at the Ernakulam Town Hall. Mammootty was accompanied by his wife Sulfath, while Mohanlal arrived with his confidante, Antony Perumbavoor. The duo was later joined by several film industry members including actor Dileep, producer Anto Joseph, and others.

Sreenivasan's Final Rites

As per the latest updates, Mammootty and his wife Sulfath have accompanied Sreenivasan's wife Vimala and their sons to their Ernakulam residence, where the last rites will be held. The multi-faceted talent's funeral will be held at his Trippunithura home at 10 AM on December 21, 2025, with the Kerala State Government's honours.
