Drishyam 3 Digital And Theatrical Rights Sold For ₹350 Crore?
According to the latest reports by Manorama News channel, Drishyam 3 has indeed created a new record in Malayalam cinema, with its theatrical and digital rights. However, Panorama Studios have not paid ₹350 crore for the rights of the Mohanlal starrer, as the viral social media posts claim. Instead, Aashirvad Cinemas sold the digital and theatrical rights of the Jeethu Joseph directorial, for ₹160 crore. The new update was confirmed by the senior film producer Renjith Rejaputhra, who recently collaborated with Mohanlal for the blockbuster film, Thudarum.
Even though the actual theatrical and digital rights of Drishyam 3 have been sold for a lesser price than the rumoured rate, it is still a fantastic deal. According to the reports, it is still the highest ever pre-release price ever received by a Malayalam film, so far. Now, the trade experts and industry insider strongly believe that Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph's ambitious project will have a record-breaking opening, and a fantastic run, at the box office.
