Mammootty Movies To Watch Out For In 2026: The legendary actor of Malayalam cinema is going through the golden phase of his acting career, with back-to-back extraordinary films. The beginning of 2025 was not that good for Mammootty, who had two underwhelming releases, which was followed by his break from the films owing to health issues.

But now, the megastar has ended 2025 on a high note with the massive success of Kalamkaval, the recently released neo-noir crime thriller directed by newcomer Jithin J Jose. Now, Mammootty is all set to have an exciting 2026, with a massive line-up of promising projects.

Mammootty Movies To Watch Out For In 2026

The veteran actor is expected to have his first release in 2026 with Chatha Pacha, the upcoming sports action film directed by Adhvaith Nayar. Mammootty is set to make an extended cameo appearance in the film, which features Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew, Vishak Nair, and Ishan Shoukath, in the lead roles.

Later, the megastar will have the biggest release of his acting career in the Summer of 2026 with Patriot, the upcoming Mahesh Narayanan directorial. Mammootty is reuniting with his close friend and onscreen rival Mohanlal after a very long gap for the film, which is touted to be a political thriller.

The Kalamkaval actor will play the lead role in the film, which features the Thudarum star in an extended cameo role. Patriot also features Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Darshana Rajendran, and Revathy, in the key roles. The filming of the project is now nearing its final stages, and Mammootty is expected to wrap up his portions by the final week of December 2025.

Later, the National Award-winner is expected to reunite with legendary filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, for an upcoming emotional drama film. The shooting of the project, produced by Mammootty Kampany, is expected to begin by the second quarter of 2026, and will be wrapped up in a 25-days-long single schedule.

Mammootty is planning to team up with Falimy director Nitish Sahadev for a family entertainer, which will also be produced by Mammootty Kampany. The megastar is rumoured to be playing a key role in the untitled Dhanush - Sai Pallavi starrer directed by Amaran director Raj Kumar Periyasamy. He is also teaming up with senior filmmaker Ranjith, for an upcoming drama.
