Pharma Hit Or Flop: Audience Verdict On Nivin Pauly Starrer Out: The medical thriller series, directed by RJ-turned-filmmaker PR Arun, is finally released on Jio Hotstar. Nivin Pauly, the popular star of Malayalam cinema made his OTT debut with Pharma, which is touted to be a medical thriller series. The long-awaited series has been receiving mixed reviews from the audiences after its release.

Pharma Hit Or Flop?

The Nivin Pauly starrer web series, which had its long-awaited OTT release on December 19, 2025, has not succeeded in impressing the audiences completely. The OTT viewers are calling Pharma a 'flawed yet engaging' watch, which shines at parts. The leading man, however, has been receiving rave reviews for his performance as KP Vinod, a medical representative who eventually grows in the pharmaceutial business, in the PR Arun directorial.

From the audience reactions, it is evident that Pharma has impressed them with its core theme and the performances of its lead cast, especially Nivin Pauly. However, the Jio Hotstar web series has evidently faltered when it comes to its making, which the audiences termed as 'outdated', and the writing part.

Pharma Plot, Cast And Crew

As reported earlier, Pharma revolves around the struggles of a middle-class man named KP Vinod, who joins the pharmaceutical industry as a medical representative in his 20s. The Arun PR directorial depicts Vinod's struggles to strive in the highly competitive industry, his growth in the field during his 30s. But later, the protagonist fights against the deep rooted corruption in the pharmaceutical industry, which deeply impacts even his personal life.

Nivin Pauly appears as KP Vinod in the Jio Hotstar series, which features senior Bollywood actor Rajit Kapur in a key role. Shruti Ramachandran, Narain, Binu Pappu, Veena Nandakumar, Muthumani, Nikhil Ramachandran, and others in the pivotal roles. Abhinandan Ramanujam is the director of photography. Jakes Bejoy has composed the songs and the original score. Sreejith Sarang handles the editing.
