Thudakkam Release Update: Vismaya Mohanlal Starrer To Hit The Theaters By Mid 2026

Thudakkam Release Update: Vismaya Mohanlal, the daughter of superstar Mohanlal and Suchitra Mohanlal, is gearing up to make her grand acting debut soon. The budding actress is playing the central character in Thudakkam, the upcoming action film directed by 2018 fame filmmaker, Jude Anthany Joseph. As per the recent updates, the filming of the much-awaited project is now nearing its final stages.

Vismaya Mohanlal's Thudakkam Release Update

According to the reports, Thudakkam, which is touted to be an action drama is gearing up for a mid-2026 release. If things go as planned, Vismaya Mohanlal's debut film might hit the big screens across the globe on May 1, 2026, as a Laborer Day special release. However, the makers of the film will only take a final decision on the same, once the team wraps the filming, which is currently progressing at the various locations of Kuttikkanam, in the Idukki district of Kerala.

According to Mohanlal, his daughter Vismaya, who is a trained mixed martial artist, has absolutely no intentions to enter films. However, after they met director Jude Anthany Joseph, who created films like Om Shantho Oshana and 2018, the star kid's attitude towards the films changed. After the filmmaker narrated the story of Thudakkam, Vismaya Mohanlal told her parents that she is now ready to try a hand in acting. The Thudarum star added that his daughter could have developed this interest, after watching her brother Pranav Mohanlal acting in films.

As you may know, Mohanlal is set to make a special cameo appearance in the movie, which features Vismaya in an out-and-out action role. Ashish Antony, the son of producer Antony Perumbavoor who made his acting debut with Empuraan, is playing a key role in Thudakkam. Jomon T John is cranking camera for the film. The project is bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor, under the prestigious banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
