Vilaayath Budha Box Office Collection Day 1: The action-drama film, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role and directed by newcomer Jayan Nambiar, hit theatres on November 21, 2025, after multiple delays. Vilaayath Budha, which is based on GR Indugopan's renowned novel of the same name, was originally conceptualized by the late filmmaker, Sachy. As the Prithviraj starrer has completed its Day 1 at the theatres, the reports suggest that it has made a decent opening day collection at the box office.

According to the reports published by the popular box office tracking website Sacknilk, Vilaayath Buddha is off to a decent start at the box office. Prithviraj Sukumaran's action-drama film has reportedly made a net collection of ₹1.65 crore from the domestic box office (all-India collection), on its first day at the theatres. In that case, it is safe to assume that the Jayan Nambiar directorial has touched the ₹2 crore mark at the worldwide box office, with its Day 1 collections.

However, none of these reports are officially confirmed so far. But, considering the current box office trends, it is evident that Vilaayath Budha is all set to have an exceptional weekend ahead. The positive reviews from a major section of audiences are benefitting the film in a big way. As per the reports, Prithviraj Sukumaran's film has witnessed a massive jump in the pre-bookings and occupancy from the Day 2 of release, thanks to the word-of-mouth publicity.

The Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer is set against the backdrop of Marayoor town of Idukki district in Kerala. Vilaayath Budha revolves around the ego clash between Double Mohanan aka Sandal Mohanan, a small-time smuggler, and his aging teacher, Bhaskaran mash, over the sandalwood tree planted at the latter's property. Prithviraj appears as Mohanan, while Shammi Thilakan plays Bhaskaran mash. Priyamvada Krishnan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anu Mohan, Rajashree, Teejay Arunasalam, Dhruvan, Pramod Veliyanadu, Vinod Thomas, and others in the key roles.
