Vilaayath Budha Box Office Collection Day 5: Prithviraj’s Film Falls Flat, Struggles To Touch ₹5 Crore Mark

Vilaayath Budha Box Office Collection Day 5: The long-awaited action drama film which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, finally hit the theatres on November 21, 2025. The movie, which marks the directorial debut of late director Sachy's former associate Jayan Nambiar, has been receiving mixed reviews from both the audiences and critics. Vilaayath Budha, which is based on GR Indugopan's renowned novel of the same name, is also struggling at the box office.

According to the recent updates by the box office tracking website Sacnilk, Vilaayath Budha has made a total net collection of ₹4.13 crore at the all-India box office, when it completed the first 5 days of its release. It is indeed a shocking box office figure for the film, which marks Prithviraj Sukumaran's comeback to the big screens after a gap of over a year. Reportedly, the Jayan Nambiar project has collected just ₹0.33 crore on its Day 5.

Even though the makers of Vilaayath Buddha tried to revive the project at the theatres by trimming a bit of its runtime, this move has clearly not made any impact among the audience response so far. If things go at the same rate, the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer might get washed out from the theatres by the first week of December 2025, as many promising films are gearing up to hit theatres in the last month of the year.

Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the role of Double Mohanan aka Sandal Mohanan, a smalltown-based smuggler in Vilaayath Budha, which is set against the backdrop of Marayur town in Kerala. Shammi Thilakan plays the role of Bhaskaran Mash, Mohanan's old teacher-turned-rival in the film, which stars Priyamvada Krishnan as the female lead. Jakes Bejoy composed the music score. Arvind S Kashyap and Ranadive handled the cinematography for the film.
