Vilaayath Budha Hit Or Flop? Prithviraj Sukumaran, the multi-faceted talent, is making a comeback to Malayalam cinema after a short gap with Vilaayath Budha (Vilayath Buddha). The movie, which was originally conceptualized by the late filmmaker Sachy, is helmed by his former assistant Jayan Nambiar. The project, which is based on GR Indugopan's famous novel of the same name, features Prithviraj as the central character, Double Mohanan, while Shammi Thilakan plays a pivotal role.

After it completed the initial shows, Vilaayath Budha has been receiving positive reviews early reviews from the audiences. The cinephiles, who took to their official social media handles to share the early verdict of the film, are calling it an 'emotionally charged' movie experience that mainly revolves around the ego clash between two drastically different men.

Vilaayath Budha (Vilayath Buddha) Plot, Cast, and Crew

The Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer, scripted by GR Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan, is set against the backdrop of Marayoor town of Idukki district in Kerala. Vilaayath Budha revolves around the ego clash between Double Mohanan aka Sandal Mohanan, a small-time smuggler and his former teacher Bhaskaran mash, over the sandalwood tree owned by the latter. Prithviraj plays the role of Mohanan, while senior actor Shammi Thilakan appears as Bhaskaran mash.

Priyamvada Krishnan, the Narivetta fame actress, plays the role of Mohanan's wife in Vilaayath Budha. The movie features an ensemble star cast including Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anu Mohan, Rajashree, Teejay Arunasalam, Dhruvan, Pramod Veliyanadu, Vinod Thomas, and others in the key roles. Jakes Bejoy composed the songs and the original score for the film. Sreejith Sarang handled the editing. Arvind S Kashyap and Ranadive are the directors of photography. The project is produced by Sandip Senan and AV Anoop, under the banner Urvasi Theatres and AVA Productions.
