Vilaayath Budha OTT Release Update: When And Where To Watch Prithviraj Sukumaran Starrer Online

Vilaayath Budha (Vilayath Buddha) OTT Release Update: Prithviraj Sukumaran teamed up with Jayan Nambiar, the former associate of late director Sachy, for the action drama film which was released in November 2025. Vilaayath Budha, which hit the theatres after a long wait, disappointed the audiences and ended up as a box office disaster. The Prithviraj Sukumaran is reportedly gearing up to make its OTT debut, soon.

Vilaayath Budha (Vilayath Buddha) OTT Release Update

According to the recent updates, Vilaayath Budha is now gearing up to make its OTT debut, after its disastrous theatrical run. If the reports are to be believed, the digital rights of the Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer was bagged by the streaming giant Jio Hotstar for a remarkable price, much before its theatrical release. Even though there were rumours on the OTT platform's disagreements with the makers of the film, new updates suggest that it will release online as planned.

Vilaayath Budha is expected to get its OTT release in January 2025, mostly by the second or third week of the month. Prithviraj Sukumaran's action drama film, which features senior actor Shammi Thilakan in a pivotal role, is expected to stream on Jio Hotstar in at least five languages, including the Malayalam original, along with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi dubbed version. However, an official announcement on the same is yet to be made.

Vilaayath Budha Star Cast And Crew

For the uninitiated, Prithviraj Sukumaran appeared in the role of a small-town based smuggler named Double Mohanan aka Sandal Mohanan in the Jayan Nambiar directorial. Shammi Thilakan appeared as Mohanan's former teacher-turned-rival Bhaskaran mash in Vilaayath Budha, which features Priyamvada Krishnan as the female lead.

Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anu Mohan, Rajashree, Teejay Arunasalam, Dhruvan, Pramod Veliyanadu, Vinod Thomas, and others essayed supporting roles in the film. Jakes Bejoy composed the songs and the original score for Vilaayath Budha. Sreejith Sarang handled the editing. Arvind S Kashyap and Ranadive are the directors of photography. The project is produced by Sandip Senan and AV Anoop, under the banner Urvasi Theatres and AVA Productions.
