Vilaayath Budha vs Kaantha Box Office Collection Day 3: The action-drama film, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, hit the theatres on November 21, 2025. The movie, helmed by newcomer Jayan Nambiar, had its release after getting delayed for a long time due to multiple reasons. However, Vilaayath Budha has been delivering an underwhelming performance at the box office, after its promising start on Day 1 at the theatres.

As per the latest updates, Prithviraj Sukumaran's film has failed to beat the first weekend (3 days) collections of Kaantha, the Dulquer Salmaan film that hit the big screens on November 14, 2025. Vilaayath Budha has made a total net collection of around ₹3.45 crore from the all-India box office within the first 3 days of its release, according to the recent updates by box office tracking website Sacnilk.

For the uninitiated, Kaantha made a net collection of around ₹13.85 crore from the all-India box office, within the first 3 days (first weekend) of its release. Even though it is an underwhelming box office figure while considering the budget, scale, and massive release of Dulquer Salmaan's film, it is not bad either.

However, Vilaayath Budha witnessed over a 41% dip in its collections on Day 2, owing to the mixed reviews from common audiences. The collections of Prithviraj Sukumaran's film dropped on Saturday to ₹1 crore and later to ₹0.75 crore on Sunday. It is indeed a shocking downfall, while considering the box office performances of the leading man's last three theatrical releases, including Empuraan, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, and Aadujeevitham.

If things go at this rate, it will be extremely tough for Vilaayath Budha to even achieve the break even, at both the domestic and overseas box office. However things might change for better, by the time the film reaches its second weekend at the theatres.
