Akhil Vishwanath, who is best known for his performance as 'The Lover' in Sanal Kumar Sasidharan directorial Chola, was found dead at his residence recently. Reportedly, Akhil was found hanging inside his house by his mother Geetha, who was getting ready to leave for her work.

According to the recent reports by Manorama Online, Akhil Vishwanath committed suicide by hanging himself at his home, on December 12, 2024 morning. However, the actual reason behind the young actor's heartbreaking decision is still unknown. As per the reports, Akhil was have a tough time after he failed to find opportunities in cinema, despite delivering a notable performance as one of the protagonists of Chola.

Who Is Akhil Vishwanath?

For the uninitiated, the 30-year-old actor made his debut in films as a child artist, along wit his brother Arun Vishwanathan. The brothers duo won the Kerala State Film Awards for the Best Child Artist, for their performances in the telefilm titled Maangandi. Later, he won wider recognition as a leading man with his performance in Chola, the Sanal Kumar Sasidharan film which also featured Joju George and Nimisha Sajayan in pivotal roles.

Apart from Chola, Akhil Vishwanath has played small roles in a few more films, including the Tharun Moorthy directorial Operation Java, which was a major commercial success. However, the young actor did not receive any good opportunities from the film industry, and he eventually started working as a mechanic at a mobile shop in his home town, to support his family

Akhil Vishwanath's father, Chencherivalappil Vishwanathan had recently met with a bike accident, and is currently undergoing treatment. His mother Geetha is working as a staff at the Vyapara Bhavan, ran by the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES). The 30-year-old actor was unmarried.
