Actor-VFX Artist Hari Murali Passes Away At 27: The popular former child artist, who is best known for his roles in popular films including Annan Thambi and Rasikan, is no more. Hari Murali, who has been working as a VFX artist these days, reportedly passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026. The 27-year-old was reportedly found dead at his residence in Payyanur, Kerala.

Reportedly, the young actor was found dead on Thursday morning (March 12, 2026) at his residence in Annoor, Payyanur, by his family members. The family members checked in on Hari Murali around 7 AM, after he didn't wake up at his usual time. According to the latest reports by Manorama Online, Hari Murali was found hanging at his bed room.

But, the actual reason behind the young actor's untimely death has not been revealed yet. As per the latest updates, Hari Murali's body was later shifted to a private hospital nearby. More updates on the Rasikan actor's death reason, and his final rites are expected to be out soon.

The young actor, who started his journey in cinema as a child artist, garnered the attention of cinephiles with his unique comic timing and dialogue delivery. Hari Murali, who is the son of actor Payyanur Murali and Prasanna, made his acting debut around the age of 4, with a Malayalam television serial directed by AM Naseer. Later, he made his movie debut with Rasikan, the Dileep starrer directed by Lal Jose, which was released in 2004.

Later, he played key roles in many popular films including the Mammootty starrer Annan Thambi, Mohanlal's Madambi, Don, Pattanathil Bhootham, and more. Hari Murali was also active in Malayalam television serials, and had played notable roles many popular shows including Kuttichathan and Kayamkulam Kochunni.

Later, he took a break from acting to pursue a bachelors degree in Visual Effects And Animation, from Bengaluru, Karnataka. Hari Murali, who has been working at a VFX company in Ernakulam, Kerala, later made a brief appearance in films with Amar Akbar Anthony in 2015. Reportedly, he was keen to be active in films again, and was working on his first script.
