Drishyam 3

Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are reuniting for the 3rd installment in the Drishyam franchise in 2026. Drishyam 3, which is unarguably the most hyped Malayalam film of 2026, has been making headlines lately with its massive pre-release business, which reportedly exceeded ₹150 crore. The family crime drama is reportedly gearing to to hit the theatres in April 2026.

Patriot

Mammootty is teaming up with talented filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan for the spy thriller film, which is now nearing its final leg of filming. The megastar is also reuniting with superstar Mohanlal after a very long gap for Patriot, which recently created a massive stir among the cinephiles with its fantastic teaser. Patriot is expected to hit the theatres by mid-2026.

I'm Game

Dulquer Salmaan is finally all set to make his long-awaited comeback to the Malayalam film industry, with the upcoming stylish action flick. The filming of I'm Game, which is directed by RDX fame director Nahas Hidhayath, is currently under progress. If the recent updates are to be believed, the highly anticipated project which features a massive star cast, is slated to hit the theatres in August 2026, as an Onam special release.

Khalifa

Prithviraj Sukumaran, the busy bee of Malayalam cinema, is reuniting with Pokkiri Raja director Vyaskh, for the project Khalifa. The first schedule shooting of the movie, which features Mohanlal in a cameo appearance, was recently wrapped up in London. The movie, touted to be an intense gangster action film, is also expected to be released in August 2026 as an Onam special release.
