After a very long delay, Malayalam cinema's megastar Mammootty has been honoured with Padma Bhushan, third highest civilian award of India. South cinema's most popular names, including Mohanlal, Kamal Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and others reacted to the legendary actor's big win on social media.

The most popular names of the South film industry, including Kamal haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jr NTR, Vijay Deverakonda, Manju Warrier, Bhavana, and many others took to their social media handles and congratulated Mammootty for winning the prestigious Padma Bhushan award.

Mohanlal took to his official social media handles and congratulated his dear 'Ichakka' Mammootty, with the sweetest message. "Ichakka, absolutely delighted to know you've been conferred the Padma Bhushan. Heartfelt congratulations. Wishing you continued grace and glory," reads the Malayalam superstar's post.

Kamal Haasan took to his X handle and penned a heartwarming note for dear friend Mammootty. "My dear friend @mammukka has been announced as the recipient of the Padma Bhushan award. We haven't acted together in any films. But from afar, we've been cherishing each other while directly critiquing one another, maintaining a friendship akin to that of a 'Kopperuncholayar Pisiranthaiyar' for many years," reads the Vikram actor's post.

"It now strikes me that we both could have met in person a little more often. As a Mammootty fan, my expectation is that my fans should also be his fans. My friend Mammootty has now become Padma Bhushan Mammootty. Congratulations to my friend," Kamal Haasan concluded his post.
